We can make this mystery very simple by stating that not one plane crashed on 9/11. It was a hoax to award Disciples airplanes for their clever deal and later gave tham a clean break.

Commonsense tells us that NORAD knew lucidly that there was no wayward plane to intercept.

Approximately two months prior to 11 September 2001, I assumed duties as the Deputy for Command Center Operations in the J3 Directorate of the Joint Staff. In this role, I was responsible for the maintenance, operation, and training of watch teams for the National Military Command Center (NMCC). Further, I qualified in August 2001 to stand watch as the Deputy Director for Operations in the NMCC.
On 10 September 2001, Brigadier General Winfield, U. S. Army, asked that I stand a portion of his duty as Deputy Director for Operations, NMCC, on
the following day. I agreed and relieved Brigadier General Winfield at 0830 on 11 September 2001.
Shortly after assuming duty, I received the first report of a plane’s striking the World Trade Center. Some time after, I learned of the second plane’s collision with the World Trace Center. In response to these events, I convened a Significant Event Conference, which was subsequently upgraded
to an Air Threat Conference. During the Air Threat Conference, Brigadier General Winfield relieved me and reassumed duties as Deputy Director for Operations for the National Military Command Center.
The details of the Air Threat Conference are contained in the conference transcript. I was given the opportunity to review this transcript during testimony I gave to members of The National Commission on Terrorist Attacks Upon the United States staff on 29 April 2004. On that date, I recounted my actions as Deputy Director for Operations, NMCC, on 11

A US Air Force officer in California recently accused President Bush of deliberately allowing the September 11 terror attacks to take place. The officer has been relieved of his command and faces further discipline. The controversy surrounding Lt. Col. Steve Butler’s letter to the editor, in which he affirmed that Bush did nothing to warn the American people because he "needed this war on terrorism," received scant coverage in the media.
Universally ignored by the press, however, was that the officer was not merely expressing a personal opinion. He was in a position to have direct knowledge of contacts between the US military and some of the hijackers in the period before the terrorist attacks that destroyed the World Trade Center and damaged the Pentagon.
Lieutenant Colonel Butler, who wrote in a letter to the editor of the Monterey County Herald charging that "Bush knew about the impending attacks," was vice chancellor for student affairs at the Defense Language Institute in Monterey, California—a US military facility that one or more of the hijackers reportedly attended during the 1990s.
In his May 26 letter to the newspaper, Butler responded to Bush supporters, who had written the paper opposing the congressional investigation into the September 11 events. He wrote:
"Of course President Bush knew about the impending attacks on America. He did nothing to warn the American people because he needed this war on terrorism. His daddy had Saddam and he needed Osama. His presidency was going nowhere. He wasn’t elected by the American people, but placed in the Oval Office by a conservative supreme court. The economy was sliding into the usual Republican pits and he needed something on which to hang his presidency.... This guy is a joke. What is sleazy and contemptible is the President of the United States not telling the American people what he knows for political gain."
The letter provoked immediate retaliation against the 24-year Air Force veteran. Butler was transferred from the Monterey installation and threatened with court martial under Article 88 of the military code, which prohibits officers from publicly using "contemptuous words" against the president and other officials.
Last week the Air Force announced it had concluded its investigation of the case and suggested Butler would likely face "nonjudicial punishment," such as a fine or a letter of reprimand, rather than a stiffer sentence. If he refuses this punishment, however, Butler, who is ready to retire, could still face a court martial.
The issue is a particularly sensitive one for the Pentagon and the Bush administration. While many people believe that the Bush administration viewed September 11 as a priceless opportunity to implement an ultra-reactionary program of militarism and repression, Butler is different. His military assignment brought him into contact with at least one of the alleged hijackers.
Shortly after September 11, several US news outlets reported that Saeed Alghamdi—named as taking part in the hijacking of United Airlines Flight 93, which crashed in western Pennsylvania—had taken courses at the Defense Language Institute, the US military’s primary foreign language facility, where Butler was a leading officer overseeing students (essentially, dean of students).
Alghamdi, a 41-year-old Saudi national, was one of several alleged hijackers, including accused ringleader Mohamed Atta, who reportedly trained at US military facilities, according to a series of articles published between September 15 and 17 in the Washington Post, Newsweek magazine, the New York Times and several other newspapers.
On September 15, Newsweek reported: "U.S. military sources have given the FBI information that suggests five of the alleged hijackers of the planes used in Tuesday’s terror attacks received training at secure U.S. military installations in the 1990s."
The magazine said that Saeed Alghamdi was among three who had taken flight training at the Navy Air Station in Pensacola, Florida—known as the "cradle of US Navy aviation"—which also administers training of foreign aviation students for the Navy. The magazine, citing "a high-ranking Pentagon official" as its source, reported that two others—both former Saudi air force pilots who had come to the US—also attended such facilities. One received tactical training at the Air War College in Montgomery, Alabama and the other language training at the Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas.
Over the next few days, more detailed information appeared in several other newspapers. A September 16 article in the New York Times reported: "Three of the men identified as the hijackers in the attacks on Tuesday have the same names as alumni of American military schools, the authorities said today. The men were identified as Mohamed Atta, Abdulaziz al-Omari and Saeed al-Ghamdi.
"The Defense Department said Mr. Atta had gone to the International Officers School at Maxwell Air Force Base in Alabama; Mr. al-Omari to the Aerospace Medical School at Brooks Air Force Base in Texas; and Mr. al-Ghamdi to the Defense Language Institute at the Presidio in Monterey, Calif."
The Knight Ridder news service also reported that Saeed Alghamdi had been to the Defense Language Institute in Monterey and the Associated Press cited Air Force sources indicating that more than one of the hijackers may have received language training at the installation.
The media dropped the story after the Air Force officials issued a cursory statement aimed at preventing any further inquiry into links between the US military and the terrorists. While acknowledging that some of the suspected terrorists "had similar names to foreign alumni of U.S. military courses," the statement said discrepancies in biographical information, such as birth dates and name spellings, "indicate we are probably not talking about the same people." Without providing any substantiation, the statement suggested the hijackers may have stolen the identities of foreign military personnel who received training at the bases.
Following this less than convincing explanation, the Air Force refused to release the ages, countries of origin or any other information about the individuals whose names matched those of the alleged hijackers—making it virtually impossible to verify the claim that these were not the same individuals.
Attorney General John Ashcroft and the FBI also refused to make public any information. Asked by Florida Senator Bill Nelson whether any of the hijackers were trained at the Pensacola base, the Justice Department refused to give a definitive answer, and the FBI said it could not respond until it could "sort through something complicated and difficult," according to the senator’s representative.
To receive such training, the hijackers would have had connections to Arab governments that enjoyed close relations with the US government. A former Navy pilot at the Pensacola air station told Newsweek that during his years on the base, "We always, always, always trained other countries’ pilots. When I was there two decades ago, it was Iranians. The Shah was in power. Whoever the country du jour is, that’s whose pilots we train."
Military officials acknowledged that the US has a longstanding agreement with Saudi Arabia to train pilots for the kingdom’s national guard. Candidates receive air combat training and other courses on several Army and Navy bases, in a program paid for by Saudi Arabia. Significantly 15 of the 19 hijackers were believed to be Saudi nationals.
According to its web site, the Defense Language Institute Foreign Language Center in Monterey—founded in 1946 as the Military Intelligence Service Language School—"provides foreign language services to Department of Defense, government agencies and foreign governments" to support "national security interests and global operational needs."
As vice chancellor for student affairs, Butler had extensive contact with students, according to Pete Randazzo, a close associate of the officer and president of the National Association of Government Employees Local 1690, which represents civilian employees at the language school.
"He would go and have lunch with the students, sit in their classrooms. He was a very caring officer over there," Randazzo told the Herald. Butler was also navigator of a B-52 bomber during the Persian Gulf War, which made it likely he was familiar with Saudi military operations, given the close relations between the US and Saudi Arabia during the 1990-91 war against Iraq.
In the 1990s, several officers were disciplined under Article 88 of the military code for publicly denouncing Clinton, including an Air Force general who went so far as to ridicule the president as a "gay-loving, pot-smoking, draft-dodging womanizer" in front of 250 people at an awards banquet.
With Butler’s comments, however, the Pentagon faces a more delicate problem. The Lieutenant Colonel may well know considerably more than he is saying about US military-intelligence apparatus involvement in the September 11 events, and, on the eve of his retirement, took the opportunity to set the record straight.

Michael Springman: Well it began in Jeddah when I was repeatedly told to issue visas to unqualified applicants. This went on for quite some time, during most of my tour there.
CBC: When you say unqualified applicants, what kind of qualifications didn't they have?

Springman: Under the American immigration laws, you need to demonstrate that you are going to the United States for a specific purpose, and typically in such a situation you are going to sign a business deal, or you're going to go as a tourist to see the Grand Canyon, or you're going as a student to study a particular course of study. And these were people that had no job; in one instance he was a Sudanese, who was unemployed in Saudi Arabia, and a refugee from the Sudan. But he got a visa for National Security purposes, after it was taken out of my hands by the chief of the consular section. The King's barber's secretary apparently got a visa. There were other people in similar situations that really demonstrated no clear idea of what they were going to do.
CBC: All right, King's barber's aside, to be the Devil's advocate your superior from time to time overruled your findings. Why is that unusual?

Springman: Well it's unusual because in State department practice, you are supposed to have new concrete and substantive information that was not available to the fellow who adjudicated the visa at the beginning. And this was never done.
CBC: So what do you think you were dealing with here; it all sounds a bit like a case of visa fraud perhaps, but why to you think there was anything more than that?

Springman: Well initially I thought that is what it was. There was visa fraud. I had been told by one contact that the price for a visa at the American consulate was the equivalent of $2500 US. But once I got back to the United States, and was out of the foreign service, I ran across a couple of people with ties to the American government, that told me another story; that the CIA was recruiting fighters for the Afghan war against the then Soviets, and that their asset, Osama bin Laden was working with them. They had a recruiting office in Jeddah, they had a recruiting office in Riyadh, and third one somewhere in the Eastern province. And they would send these people to Jeddah, the fifth largest visa issuing post in the Middle East, for visas. They would apparently run these people straight over from their recruiting office over to my visa window. Well obviously, when they were not good solid businessmen, or good upstanding upper class people I would refuse them.
CBC: How many would you estimate that got into the United States that shouldn't have through this back door?

Springman: Well, in my case I would say as many as 100.

U.N. Official Calls for Study Of Neocons' Role in 9/11

WASHINGTON — A new U.N. Human Rights Council official assigned to monitor Israel is calling for an official commission to study the role neoconservatives may have played in the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks.
On March 26, Richard Falk, Milbank professor of international law emeritus at Princeton University, was named by unanimous vote to a newly created position to report on human rights in the conflict between Israel and the Palestinian Arabs. While Mr. Falk's specialty is human rights and international law, since the attacks in 2001, he has devoted some of his time to challenging what he calls the "9-11 official version."
On March 24 in an interview with a radio host and former University of Wisconsin instructor, Kevin Barrett, Mr. Falk said, "It is possibly true that especially the neoconservatives thought there was a situation in the country and in the world where something had to happen to wake up the American people. Whether they are innocent about the contention that they made that something happen or not, I don't think we can answer definitively at this point. All we can say is there is a lot of grounds for suspicion, there should be an official investigation of the sort the 9/11 commission did not engage in and that the failure to do these things is cheating the American people and in some sense the people of the world of a greater confidence in what really happened than they presently possess."
Mr. Barrett, who is the co-founder of the Muslim-Jewish-Christian Alliance for 9/11 Truth, said in an interview yesterday of Mr. Falk, "I would put him on a list of scholars who are sympathetic to the 9/11 truth movement."
He added, "Unlike most public intellectuals today, he is both honest and very, very knowledgeable in that he understands the probable reality of 9/11. He understands that the evidence that it was a false flag operation is very strong."
The narrative that the attacks from 2001 were a "false flag" operation is a recurring theme in the literature challenging the consensus that 19 Al Qaeda hijackers flew commercial jets into the World Trade Center and the Pentagon. False flag refers to espionage or covert actions taken by one government made to seem like the work of another. The false flag thesis has it that the Bush administration is somehow responsible for the September 11 attacks as a pretext for the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq.
Mr. Falk yesterday did not return e-mails and phone calls asking for a comment. But in 2004 he wrote the foreword to the book "The New Pearl Harbor," by David Ray Griffin. Mr. Griffin has posited that such an inside job is the likely explanation for the attacks.

In the preface, Mr. Falk writes, "There have been questions raised here and there and allegations of official complicity made almost from the day of the attacks, especially in Europe, but no one until Griffin has had the patience, the fortitude, the courage, and the intelligence to put the pieces together in a single coherent account."
When asked for a comment about the appointment of Mr. Falk, a former American ambassador to the United Nations, John Bolton said, "This is exactly why we voted against the new human rights council." A spokesman for the American embassy at the United Nations offered no comment yesterday when asked.
A spokeswoman at the United Nations, Nancy Groves, yesterday also declined to comment. "I would not make a comment on how the member states vote on appointments. It is their council, they make their decisions," she said.
Mr. Falk's selection to the post as rapporteur has already prompted the government of Israel formally to request that Mr. Falk not be sent to their country. The Israeli press has reported that he may even be barred from entering the country.
The deputy permanent representative of Israel to the United Nations in New York, Daniel Carmon said, "We are asking the U.N. not to send him. We cannot agree to Mr. Falk's entrance into Israel in his capacity as the rapporteur."
One reason the Israelis are concerned about his appointment is that Mr. Falk has compared Israel's treatment of Palestinian Arabs to the Nazi treatment of Jews in the holocaust. In an April 8 BBC interview, Mr. Falk said he stood by the Israel-Nazi comparison.
The national director of the Anti-Defamation League, Abraham Foxman, issued a statement yesterday saying, "This was clearly a singularly inappropriate choice for this position. Falk's startling record of anti-Israel prejudice should have been enough to preclude him from a position where an unbiased observer is needed to report on the status of human rights in the territories."
In a February 16, 1979, op-ed for the New York Times, Mr. Falk praised Ayatollah Khomeini and bemoaned his ill treatment in the American press. He wrote, "The depiction of him as fanatical, reactionary and the bearer of crude prejudices seems certainly and happily false."Nearly nine months later, student followers of Khomeini invaded the American embassy in Tehran and held 52 diplomats hostage for the following 444 days.

They claim that never in history has the structure of a steel building ever been destroyed by fire, and that on the contrary, the evidence points to a controlled demolition. I could find no evidence to gainsay their thesis anywhere.

How can an insurer take such an extreme case simply and casually as business as usual?

Think it was only German politicians accused of crimes? Imagine that after Hitler and his associates were accused of the Holocaust, a number of Nazis were admitted into the United States.

The dirty Mossad, instead of fighting 'us', they have sought to prey on 'us' like ticks because of the voluminous dossier compiled since 1941.

This means therefore that anything the dirty Mossad requests from Washington, it has to be provided with a smile; and any crime committed by the dirty Mossad must be covered up.

September 11, 2001 was organized by some craftly culprits who saw an opportunity to kill hundreds of birds with a few stones.

This caper was the greatest scam since 'courtesanism'. It involved the infamous "Enterprise" boys whose capers can be so easily identified; because, they always use an old plan. All they did in 2001 was to search for a dusted-off operation Zipper and used it on September 11.

This swindle was the most sophisticated, most elaborate, which involved many agencies, and thugs; and the most successful in terms of the loot. The 'war-on-terror' alone has raked in billions.

Operation 9-11 included the Pentagon 2.6 trillion dollar swindle; Brady Bonds scam, (Interestingly the Brady Bonds, due September 12, 2001 were underwritten by Cantor Fitzgerald and the paperwork held in the top floor offices of the WTC, all blown up on September 11, 2001. What was the jackpot? The holders of certain instruments did not have to pay.); 70 billion California electricity swindle; WTC gold bullion robbery; numerous WTC, Pentagon, etc.etc., Insurance frauds; destruction of Worldcom and Enron criminal files; Put Options scam; Leo Wanta Money Swindle;War on Terror scam; over 3000 criminal files in WTC 7 alone; and many more.

But wait! Not all participants wanted cash only. Some of the thugs want laws to cripple the citizenry's right to free speech. Laws to prevent people from talking about past criminal activities. Why make laws which prevent people from criticizing the Holocaust, for example, when all we have to do is to bring forth solid proof that the incidents under Hitler did occur?

Firstly, the alleged plane entering one of the Twin Towers with every single part disappearing into the concrete and steel structure, is basic computer trick. This kind of incident could not occur. It does not matter how many times the 9-11 hoods try to say it did! Imagine the nose of this plane entered and exited through concrete and steel without sustaining significant damage!

The thugs blasted the Twin Towers to 'take out' Cantor Fitzgerald and Aeon companies. Then they blasted the Pentagon to kill those who knew too much, and also to shut down Pentagon defensive capabilities.

But wait folks! What if the holes made for the 'planes' to enter the WTC were created by workmen or missiles before the objects entered? WTC workers complained about dust as a result of knocking and drilling of WTC walls prior September 11.

We hear from New York 'finest' that one of the so-called planes was actually a truck painted like a plane! Two men jumped out but Po-lice caught them. Where are they?

Poor John O'Neil, frustrated by the al Qaeda operatives in the Department, he resigned and procured a job arranged by his nemises and later killed on d-day.

We suspected foul play when the fools started to exhibit oppositional disorder; that is - opposing every conspiracy theory which surfaced; including vehemently denying that explosives were used to bring down the buildings.

The World Trade Center (Centro Mondiale Comerciale) was constructed based on ideas of Intel Operatives from Permindex, et al; religious con men, and Nostradamus fanatics who saw their retirement benefits in those buildings. The Port Authority advised that there was too much Asbestos in the Towers and so repairs had to be done. Estimates suggested US$1 billion. Lucky and his associates were just ready to lease the buildings and he was so very Lucky that he immediately insured the Towers against terrorism. And guess what? In six weeks "inside terrorists" knocked those buildings down! One should note that years prior 9-11, the tricksters began to mark the WTC as structures that would crumble and fall into the sea as allegedly predicted by Nostradamus. And so, a few weeks before the caper, they consolidated their holdings on the complex and insured it against terrorism, and procured billions. Walla!

You know folks, there was an episode on one major television network when a uniformed officer was given the opportunity on Prime Time television to utter some words never before allowed in the United States media. This 'officer' angry at the carnage of 9-11 said: "bin Laden - kiss my...ass".

Ordinarilly, this sort of comment would be rediculed; but we were all so angry that it was condoned.

Then subsequent to 9-11 we had the slaughter in Iraq and Afghanistan - as former State Department official Lawrence Wilkerson reported, that more than 100 deaths of detainess occurred in US custody. 25 were homicides.

Folks! What if all the carnage and slaughter occurred because some of our own thug citizens orchestrated September 11th?

The local terrorists organized the scam with certain precisions. For example, they groomed a madman Zacharias Moussaoui, to take the fall.
As early as the morning of September 11, 2001, the terrorists had a private jet tracking Flight 93, claiming that it was gathering evidence to prosecute Moussaoui. [Incidentally, Flight 93 was stuffed with the bodies of the passengers from the other '9-11' Flights; and was in the air ready to be blown to bits]

"An official for NetJets, a company that sells shares in private business aircraft, confirmed that the plane tracking Flight 93 belonged to the company. The official, who asked not to be identified by name, said the company was asked not to comment on the Sept. 11 flight but would not say who made the request. Sept. 11 video, photos might be shown at Moussaoui trial."

One should note that at the lynching of the said Moussaoui, not one alleged mastermind testified; and also none of these alleged masterminds were allowed to testify elsewhere. Why? Can you imagine the real terrorists putting their masterminds on public trial? The masterminds could expose the whole thing by identifying the insiders who arranged the scam.

9-11 was the beginning of Operation New World Order. A program designed to rule Third World idiots.

9-11 was an operation to test certain missiles, aircraft and weapons like the Tactical High Energy Laser (THEL); stealth technology including the drone and morphing whereby voices of individuals like Mark Bingham could be duplicated.

(Incidentally, on 9-11 several persons were arrested on the scene in New York but those arrests were never heard of in the Moussaoui trial. Why?)

Mossad operatives were arrested with explosives on 9-11. What happen to them?

In fact about 60 Mossad agents were arrested for suspicious activities on and after 9-11. One terrorist on the most wanted list was the man who owned the 'box cutters'; yet he was wisked out of the United States to safe haven in Israel.

Dig this folks! About 90 little thugs were given ID's and placed in the nation's airport system to manipulate the 9-11 scam. These individuals were secretly deported after the caper. Note here carefully, that the exact methodology was applied in the JFK scam. There were numerous false agents in Dealy Plaza 'flashing' badges.

The 9-11 thugs arranged successfully for maximum financial gain. However, the logistics section of the scam left much to be desired.

Some of the most critical mistakes were:
(1) The rocket-speed APB on the 19 bush men published by the FBI. This stupid prank was the work of the Dirty MOSSAD. You see, the MOSSAD generally supply some of alQaeda's Washington Bureau fake data. Why? MOSSAD needs to blackmail Washington alQaeda bosses. Frankly, when one publishes such crap regarding such lucid details of 19 bush men within hours of the attacks, even though there was no manifest showing one single name of any of the bush men; it shows how gullible the fbi really is! Also, importantly, the undertakers did not identify any of the bodies of the bush men!!
(2) Imagine a plane crashed and burned yet one hyjacker's passport flew out into a Manhattan street in pristine condition.
(3) The demolition of Building 7 was the most stupid prank by the terrorists. Building 7 was constructed in 1985 with steel and concrete. It was not as old as the North and South towers; yet it fell in seconds even though only a few pebbles hit it. Who these lunatics trying to fool?
(4) The criminal removal of the forensic evidence from the scenes; i.e., WTC metals and the paving of the Pentagon lawn.
(5) The suppression of data from investigators of the crime
(6) In Shanksville, a 757 with a massive wingspan crashed and left a twenty-feet hole in the ground. How could thugs try to sell that crap?
(7) At the Pentagon, a 757 crashed and left a small hole in the building. Photograph shows the building intact after the alleged strike. In fact, unlike Shanksville, the 757 went through a window at the 'Pentagon'.
(8) 19 bush men controlled the skies of the United States for two hours under the watch of the alleged most powerful military on the planet. Imagine that NORAD, the SS, and NMCC were all hoodwinked by a few bush men from Afghanistan. Really?
(9) Law enforcement officers in New York reported missiles being shot from the Woolworth Building. It appeared that the missiles were creating the holes in the WTC as seen on television.

While the plan exhibited some expertise, there were some real crackpots manning the show. For example, trying to sell the crazy idea that Flight 93 crashed and left a 20 feet hole in the ground; that Flight 77 crashed into the Pentagon and left a 16 feet hole in the first floor even though the plane was 44 feet high; that a plane flying at 235 feet high knocked down a light pole; that planes crashed and left the wrong engines on the ground; that a silly twin engine novice flew a 757 at 400 miles an hour and performed feat that military pilots could not and cannot do; that 757's crashed and all parts evaporated; and that all the hijackers bodies evaporated and left other passengers' for positive DNA identification; allowing fire to burn for 100 days after planes crashed into the Twin Towers at temperature of over 1300 degrees, allegedly caused by kerosine; claiming that cockpit voice recorder recorded passengers voices and that passenger called his own mother and said: "Mum, this is Mark Bingham." Critically, from the morning of 9-11 the hoods tried to sell the idea that Osama bin Laden committed the crime and swayed the public from other credible evidence.

Immediately after the scam, the thugs planted their twisters to label Osama bin Laden, and they launched a massive eavesdropping campaign to listen in on those who had doubts about the official story.

This was not the first time the Enterprise tapped the phones of Americans. They did it when they murdered John F. Kennedy; and they did it during the seventies. (See CIA, Family Jewels, published in 2007)

Within minutes after the first aircraft hit the World Trade Center, the FAA immediately established several phone bridges that included FAA field facilities, the FAA Command Center, FAA headquarters, DOD, the Secret Service, and other government agencies.The US Air Force liaison to the FAA immediately joined the FAA headquarters phone bridge and established contact with NORAD on a separate line.
The FAA shared real-time information on the phone bridges about the unfolding events, including information about loss of communication with aircraft, loss of transponder signals, unauthorized changes in course, and other actions being taken by all the flights of interest, including Flight 77. Other parties on the phone bridges, in turn, shared information about actions they were taking.
NORAD logs indicate that the FAA made formal notification about American Flight 77 at 9:24 a.m., but information about the flight was conveyed continuously during the phone bridges before the formal notification.

Pilots for 9/11 Truth, an international organization of pilots and aviation professionals, petitioned the National Transportation and Safety Board (NTSB) via the Freedom of Information Act to obtain United Flight 93 Flight Data Recorder information, consisting of a Comma Separated Value (CSV) file and Flight Path Animation, allegedly derived from Flight 93 Flight Data Recorder (FDR). The data provided by the NTSB contradict observed events in several significant ways:
The NTSB Flight Path Animation approach path and altitude does not support observations.
All Altitude data on the northern approach contradicts witnesses published by the New York Times.
Witness observations of approach path contradict northern approach as described by Popular Mechanics and the US Govt. Several witnesses observed the aircraft approaching from southeast over Indian Lake and from the south prior to witnessing explosion. Parts found in New Baltimore, 8 miles southeast of crater is a direct contradiction to the northern approach claimed by the US Govt.
Environmental Protection Agency reports no soil contamination of jet fuel after testing 5,000-6,000 yards of earth including 3 ground wells. Smoke plume photographed by a witness does not suggest a jet fuel rich explosion.
Impact angle according to Flight Data Recorder does not support an almost vertical impact as the govt story and crater suggests.
In May, 2007, members of Pilots for 9/11 Truth received these documents from the NTSB and began a close analysis of the data they contain. After expert review and cross check, Pilots for 9/11 Truth has concluded that the information in these NTSB documents does not support, and in some instances factually contradicts, the official government position that United Airlines Flight 93 created the impact crater as reported, in Somerset County, PA on the morning of September 11, 2001 .According to the US Govt, United Airlines Flight 93 approached Somerset County from the North-Northwest at a high altitude on the morning of September 11, 200 1 . However, many witnesses contradict altitude as well as approach path. Also according to reports, and as the impact crater suggests, United Airlines Flight 93 impacted terrain at an almost vertical 90 degree angle, while the Flight Data Recorder shows a 35 degree angle with up-sloping terrain, further reducing impact angle.
The information provided by the US Government does not support reports of United Airlines Flight 93 approach, impact angles, and lack of jet fuel at Somerset Country, PA.

Eight U.S. State Department Veterans Challenge the Official Account of 9/11

Official Account of 9/11: “Flawed”, “Absurd”, “Totally Inadequate”, “a Cover-up”January 5, 2008 – Eight U.S. State Department veterans have severely criticized the official account of 9/11 and called for a new investigation. “There is no question in my mind, that there is enough evidence to justify a very comprehensive and hard hitting investigation of the kind we have not seen, with subpoenas, general questioning of people, releasing a lot of documents,” said Daniel Ellsberg, PhD, in a 2006 interview with Jack Blood. [1]

Dr. Ellsberg is one of many signers of a petition to reinvestigate 9/11. [2] Best known for leaking the Pentagon Papers to the New York Times in 1971, Dr. Ellsberg is a former U.S. State Department envoy to Viet Nam and Special Assistant to the Assistant Secretary of Defense. Another State Department critic of the official account of 9/11 is Col. Ann Wright, who said in a 2007 interview with Richard Greene on the Air America Radio Network, “It's incredible some of these things that still are unanswered. The 9/11 Report -- that was totally inadequate. I mean the questions that anybody has after reading that.” [3] Col. Wright is one of three U.S. State Department officials to publicly resign in direct protest of the invasion of Iraq in March, 2003. She joined the Foreign Service in 1987 and served for 16 years as a U.S. Diplomat, including assignments as Deputy Chief of Mission of U.S. Embassies in Sierra Leone, Micronesia and Afghanistan. She helped reopen the U.S. Embassy in Kabul in December, 2001. She also served for 13 years on active duty and 16 additional years on reserve duty with the U.S. Army.
She continued in her interview with Greene: “How could our national intelligence and defense operations be so inept that they could not communicate; that they could not scramble jets; that they could not take defensive action? And I totally agree, I always thought the Pentagon had all sorts of air defense equipment around it; that they could take out anything that was coming at it. And for a plane to be able to just fly low right over Washington and slam into that thing is just -- I mean, you still just shake your head. How in the world could that happen?”Fred Burks, former Presidential interpreter, is another State Department veteran who questions the official account of 9/11 and who signed the petition to reinvestigate. “How is it possible that our military's highly touted missile detection systems could not locate Flight 77 in the 42 minutes it was known to be lost before it crashed into the heart of the defense system of the U.S.?,” he asked in an essay. [4]During his 18-year State Department career, Mr. Burks served as interpreter for Presidents George W. Bush and Bill Clinton, Vice Presidents Dick Cheney and Al Gore, Secretaries of State Colin Powell and Madeleine Albright and many others. Mr. Burks continued, “An even bigger question is why isn't our media asking these questions? Why isn't our military spending many millions of dollars to find out why military defense systems failed on 9/11? Why is it that the 9/11 commission budget was far less than the budget allotted to the Challenger Disaster or even the Monika Lewinsky affair? Why aren't we, the public, asking these questions and demanding answers?”Melvin Goodman, PhD, is another former State Department employee who signed the petition to reinvestigate 9/11. He served as a Senior Analyst at the State Department’s Bureau of Intelligence and Research. Dr. Goodman also later served as Division Chief of the CIA’s Office of Soviet Affairs and as Professor of International Security at the National War College, 1986 - 2004. In testimony before a 2005 Congressional briefing on the 9/11 Commission Report, Dr. Goodman said, “I want to talk about the [9/11] Commission itself, about the flawed process of the Commission and finally about the conflict of interest within the Commission that is extremely important to understand the failure of the Commission. … The final report is ultimately a coverup. I don't know how else to describe it.” [5]Dr. Goodman is currently Senior Fellow at the Center for International Policy and Adjunct Professor of Government at Johns Hopkins University.
Another former career Foreign Service Officer who questions the official account of 9/11 is Michael Springmann. He is also one of many signers of the petition to reinvestigate 9/11.In a speech at the National Press Club, Mr. Springmann said, “I used to be in charge of the visa section at the CIA's Consulate in Jeddah. ... There for a year and a half I issued visas to terrorists recruited by the CIA and its asset Osama Bin Laden. ... Fifteen of the nineteen people who allegedly flew airplanes into buildings in the United States got their visas from the same CIA Consulate at Jeddah.” [6]
Michael SpringmannGeorge Kenney
During his more than 20 years of U.S. government service, Mr. Springmann worked at both the State Department and the Foreign Commercial Service of the U.S. Department of Commerce. Among his many assignments, Mr. Springman served as Consular Officer in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, where he supervised the issuance of visas.In a later interview with the BBC, Mr. Springmann said, “In Saudi Arabia I was repeatedly ordered by high level State Dept officials to issue visas to unqualified applicants. These were, essentially, people who had no ties either to Saudi Arabia or to their own country. I complained bitterly at the time there. I returned to the US, I complained to the State Dept here, to the General Accounting Office, to the Bureau of Diplomatic Security and to the Inspector General's office. I was met with silence. ... What I was protesting was, in reality, an effort to bring recruits, rounded up by Osama Bin Laden, to the US for terrorist training by the CIA. They would then be returned to Afghanistan to fight against the then-Soviets.” [7] Another State Department veteran publicly questioning the official account of 9/11 is former career Foreign Service Officer, George Kenney, who served as Yugoslav desk officer at the State Department headquarters in Washington, D.C. He resigned his commission in 1991 over U.S. policy towards the Yugoslav conflict. He then served as consultant in residence at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace. Currently he’s a consultant and commentator on foreign affairs and current events. In a commentary after a 2007 interview of David Ray Griffin, PhD, Mr. Kenney said, “We should strive to clearly separate what we know from things we don't. Thus, we have a reasonably high level of confidence that the Establishment conspiracy narrative is absurd. The World Trade Center structures came down through controlled demolition. Flight 93 was shot down over rural Pennsylvania. And whatever it was that hit the Pentagon could not have been Flight 77. Further, whatever his peripheral involvement, the planning and implementation of 9/11 did not originate with Osama bin Laden.” [8]
Michael Mennard, PhD, is another U.S. State Department veteran who questions the official account of 9/11 and calls for a new investigation. Among his assignments as a career Foreign Service Officer, Dr. Mennard served as Regional Public Affairs Officer in India.In a statement to this author, Dr. Mennard wrote, “I am concerned about the numerous inconsistencies in the official account of 9/11. I support a new investigation regarding the tragic events of that day, the events leading up to it, and subsequent efforts to ignore the whole matter.”
Edward Peck
Shortly after the release of the 9/11 Commission Report, a group of over 100 prominent Americans signed a petition [9] urging Congress to immediately reinvestigate 9/11. In addition to six former CIA officials, [10] the signers included Daniel Ellsberg, Melvin Goodman, Fred Burks, Michael Springman (all mentioned above), and Edward Peck.Edward Peck served as Deputy Coordinator, Covert Intelligence Programs at the State Department. He later served as Deputy Director of the White House Task Force on Terrorism under President Ronald Reagan. Mr. Peck, a 32-year veteran of the U.S. Foreign Service, also served as U.S. Ambassador and Chief of Mission in Iraq (1977 - 1980).
The petition stated, in part, “We want truthful answers to questions such as: 1. Why were standard operating procedures for dealing with hijacked airliners not followed that day? 2. Why were the extensive missile batteries and air defenses reportedly deployed around the Pentagon not activated during the attack? 3. Why did the Secret Service allow Bush to complete his elementary school visit, apparently unconcerned about his safety or that of the schoolchildren?4. Why hasn't a single person been fired, penalized, or reprimanded for the gross incompetence we witnessed that day? 5. Why haven't authorities in the U.S. and abroad published the results of multiple investigations into trading that strongly suggested foreknowledge of specific details of the 9/11 attacks, resulting in tens of millions of dollars of traceable gains?”These questions and many others still remain unanswered three years after the petition was submitted and six years after the terrible events of 9/11. Numerous Structural Engineers Now Publicly Challenge Government's Explanation for Destruction of the World Trade Center
Numerous structural engineers now publicly challenge the government's account of the destruction of the Trade Centers on 9/11, including:
Two professors of structural engineering at a prestigious Swiss university (Dr. Joerg Schneider and Dr. Hugo Bachmann) said that, on 9/11, World Trade Center 7 was brought down by controlled demolition
Kamal S. Obeid, structural engineer, with a masters degree in Engineering from UC Berkeley, of Fremont, California, says:
"Photos of the steel, evidence about how the buildings collapsed, the unexplainable collapse of WTC 7, evidence of thermite in the debris as well as several other red flags, are quite troubling indications of well planned and controlled demolition"

Ronald H. Brookman, structural engineer, with a masters degree in Engineering from UC Davis, of Novato California, writes:
"Why would all 110 stories drop straight down to the ground in about 10 seconds, pulverizing the contents into dust and ash - twice. Why would all 47 stories of WTC 7 fall straight down to the ground in about seven seconds the same day? It was not struck by any aircraft or engulfed in any fire. An independent investigation is justified for all three collapses including the surviving steel samples and the composition of the dust."
Graham John Inman, structural engineer, of London, England, points out:
"WTC 7 Building could not have collapsed as a result of internal fire and external debris. NO plane hit this building. This is the only case of a steel frame building collapsing through fire in the world. The fire on this building was small & localized therefore what is the cause?"

Paul W. Mason, structural engineer, of Melbourne, Australia, argues:
"In my view, the chances of the three buildings collapsing symmetrically into their own footprint, at freefall speed, by any other means than by controlled demolition, are so remote that there is no other plausible explanation!"
David Scott, Structural Engineer, of Scotland, argues:
"Near-freefall collapse violates laws of physics. Fire induced collapse is not consistent with observed collapse mode . . . ."
Nathan Lomba, Structural Engineer, of Eureka, California, states

"I began having doubts about, so called, official explanations for the collapse of the WTC towers soon after the explanations surfaced. The gnawing question that lingers in my mind is: How did the structures collapse in near symmetrical fashion when the apparent precipitating causes were asymmetrical loading? The collapses defies common logic from an elementary structural engineering perspective. “If” you accept the argument that fire protection covering was damaged to such an extent that structural members in the vicinity of the aircraft impacts were exposed to abnormally high temperatures, and “if” you accept the argument that the temperatures were high enough to weaken the structural framing, that still does not explain the relatively concentric nature of the failures.Neither of the official precipitating sources for the collapses, namely the burning aircraft, were centered within the floor plan of either tower; both aircraft were off-center when they finally came to rest within the respective buildings. This means that, given the foregoing assumptions, heating and weakening of the structural framing would have been constrained to the immediate vicinity of the burning aircraft. Heat transmission (diffusion) through the steel members would have been irregular owing to differing sizes of the individual members; and, the temperature in the members would have dropped off precipitously the further away the steel was from the flames—just as the handle on a frying pan doesn't get hot at the same rate as the pan on the burner of the stove. These factors would have resulted in the structural framing furthest from the flames remaining intact and possessing its full structural integrity, i.e., strength and stiffness.Structural steel is highly ductile, when subjected to compression and bending it buckles and bends long before reaching its tensile or shear capacity. Under the given assumptions, “if” the structure in the vicinity of either burning aircraft started to weaken, the superstructure above would begin to lean in the direction of the burning side. The opposite, intact, side of the building would resist toppling until the ultimate capacity of the structure was reached, at which point, a weak-link failure would undoubtedly occur. Nevertheless, the ultimate failure mode would have been a toppling of the upper floors to one side—much like the topping of a tall redwood tree—not a concentric, vertical collapse.For this reason alone, I rejected the official explanation for the collapse of the WTC towers out of hand. Subsequent evidence supporting controlled, explosive demolition of the two buildings are more in keeping with the observed collapse modalities and only serve to validate my initial misgivings as to the causes for the structural failures."

Edward E. Knesl, civil and structural engineer, of Phoenix, Arizona, writes:
"We design and analyze buildings for the overturning stability to resist the lateral loads with the combination of the gravity loads. Any tall structure failure mode would be a fall over to its side. It is impossible that heavy steel columns could collapse at the fraction of the second within each story and subsequently at each floor below.We do not know the phenomenon of the high rise building to disintegrate internally faster than the free fall of the debris coming down from the top.The engineering science and the law of physics simply doesn't know such possibility. Only very sophisticated controlled demolition can achieve such result, eliminating the natural dampening effect of the structural framing huge mass that should normally stop the partial collapse. The pancake theory is a fallacy, telling us that more and more energy would be generated to accelerate the collapse. Where would such energy would be coming from ?"

Why did the citizens' 9-11 petition ended up in FILE 13?

It had never changed hands before. For a down payment, Silverstein put up only $14 million of his own money, and his friends at the powerful investment bank Blackstone Group kicked in another $111 million. After 9/11, Silverstein demanded a whopping $7 billion insurance payout, in the form of two $3.5 billion payments. He argued the two different plane crashes were two separate "occurrences" of two separate attacks.The Megaphone has now learned that as attorney general, Spitzer got involved behind the scenes, and in the courts, filing a amicus curiae ("friend of the court") brief on Silverstein’s behalf on Jan. 15, 2003. For years, this brief languished in the files of the public records room on the 17th floor of the Second Circuit Court in Manhattan, until it was discovered and brought to The New York Megaphone by NYC attorney and author Carl Person. The court ended up agreeing with Spitzer and Silverstein, over-turning the decision of a lower court. Spitzer helped mid-wife a fat compromise and an eventual $4.5 billion payout for Silverstein. The Megaphone’s multiple requests for comment from Governor Spitzer were ignored.Attorney Carl Person told The Megaphone, "I was surprised to see that Spitzer had used his position as attorney general to support one private litigant over another. Normally, this is not done…Silverstein could well have been someone who destroyed evidence concerning the 9/11 events by apparently ordering or consenting to the tearing (pulling) down of 7 WTC and the removal of the debris from his multiple ground leased premises thereafter."Silverstein’s World Trade Center Building 7 collapsed at 5:20 p.m. on 9/11 without being hit by an airplane. Thirty seven eyewitnesses working on the ground as firefighters, EMTs, and reporters, recalled being warned in advance the tower was coming down. The official story however, claims a fire ignited a fuel tank in the building, hastening its sudden collapse.WTC 7 was the NY headquarters of CIA and the SEC office investigating Enron. 9/11 skeptics believe the building was taken down by controlled demolition. Larry Silverstein himself said in a 2002 episode of PBS’s Frontline that on 9/11 he recalled remarking, "Maybe the smartest thing to do is pull it…they made that decision to pull and we watched the building collapse." Silverstein later claimed that by "pull," he meant removing firefighters, not pulling the building down. However, all firefighters had been "pulled" from the building three hours earlier.The Kroll ConnectionThis past August, another scandal radiated from the Spitzer circle. This time it was Nixon’s arch-strategist Roger Stone leaving a threatening voice mail for Spitzer’s dad, Bernard. Stone allegedly claimed he would subpoena the elder Spitzer for the $5 million in illegal loans Spitzer senior made to his son during his 1998 Attorney General campaign. Stone denied he had made the call. To prove he did, the Spitzer family hired Kroll Associates to trace the call. Why Kroll? Spitzer has a long relationship with this powerful, cryptic security company.Kroll’s CEO on 9/11 was one of Spitzer’s old mentors from the Manhattan DA’s office, Michael Cherkasky. Cherkasky investigated bank BCCI (which had links to both Islamic terror and the CIA), and the mysterious 1993 World Trade Center (WTC) bombing. Cherkasky’s 2002 book Forewarned: Why the Government is Failing to Protect Us, and What We Must Do to Protect Ourselves is a confused mix of fear-mongering and insider’s analysis. He sheepishly admits that the CIA was in part culpable for the 1993 WTC bombing, since they helped pull known terrorist "Blind Sheikh" Abdel bin-Rahman into the country. Cherkasky admits the FBI had a mole inside Rahman’s 1993 WTC bombing cell, and lays blame for the bombing on the FBI.After observing the 1993 WTC bombing as an operation penetrated by CIA and FBI, Cherkasky he became head of Kroll, the "the CIA of Wall Street." Kroll took on the management of WTC after the 1993 bombing. Blackstone Group, the same financiers who backed the Larry Silverstein, have also been involved with Kroll, owning big chunks of Kroll stock on occasion, according to SEC reports.Cherkasky has donated $14,500 to Eliot Spitzer's political campaigns.

"On the morning of September 11th, I was in my office. I was just getting the work handed out to all the employees. ... [Editor's note: At this point, Mr. [Anthony] Saltalamacchia was in sub-basement B1 of the North Tower, approximately 1,100 feet below the airplane's impact point at floors 93 to 98.] We heard a massive explosion that was in the World Trade Center about 8:46 a.m. in the morning. The explosion came from -- I believe at first we believed that it came from the Mechanical Room. [Editor's note: The Mechanical Room was below them in a lower sub-basement .]Then we heard a series of other explosions that sounded up on the above levels of the building. We then realized that there was something wrong and there was a major problem. And about, I'd say, 14 to 15 people came running and screaming into our office. ... Then right after that the floor started shaking. The tile from above, which was above us, started coming down, falling on us. And we knew that there was something seriously wrong happening. A man came into the office. He was a black man, very shaky, like in shock. He had multiple wounds. His arms were bleeding. Skin was peeling off. You could see basically his flesh. It was a very tough thing to see. ... [Editor's note: Mr. Saltalamacchia is referring to Felipe David.] And as we're standing there, more explosions were happening. A lot of screaming confusion. ... It was very smoky, very cloudy. It just looked very serious. We knew we had to get out of the building. ... The amount of explosions I've heard from 8:46 until the time we got out was so many, at least ten. It was just like multiple explosions to where I felt like there were different grenades. That's what it sounded like, it was different grenades being set off in the building. It was like -- There was one major explosion, and then there was different explosions throughout that period of time until we got out. Do I believe six years after 9/11? I don't know the truth. I don't believe a word that they say. I just don't believe Everything they say is a cover up. ... No, definitely don't leave it alone. She was the first casualty from the WTC to arrive at Bellevue Hospital. Peter Jennings: So tell me how you're feeling. How did you get there? What happened to you? Marlene Cruz: I work for the Trade Center. I'm one of the carpenters. And I was gonna go do a job. And I got on the elevator, the freight elevator. And I heard the first explosion. "They had been told to stay where they were and "sit tight" until the Assistant Chief got back to them. By this time, however, the room they were working in began to fill with a white smoke. Rebuttal of The 9/11 Commission Report.]
A simple formula, familiar to high school students, can be used to refute the official account of American Airlines Flight 77 -- alleged to have struck the Pentagon on September 11, 2001.
Force = Mass X Velocity Squared / Radius
This formula approximates the force that would be exerted on an aircraft when it transitions from its downward path to level flight.
First we determine the mass of the aircraft.
Flight 77, a Boeing 757, had taken off from Washington Dulles International airport, and was bound for Los Angeles. Assuming its fuel tanks were full, and ignoring the weight of the 64 passengers, and cargo (which should be available if one wants to include them), the weight of the plane would be about 255,000 pounds (Boeing Technical Specifications).
For our calculation we'll assume that weight and mass are equal, i.e. 255,000 pounds.
For velocity we turn to the official account that Flight 77 struck the Pentagon at "530 miles per hour" (The 9/11 Commission Report, p10).
For our calculation we'll assume that speed and velocity are equal, i.e. 530 mph.
To calculate the radius, we could begin with a statement in The 9/11 Commission Report (p9): Flight 77 was "5 miles west-southwest of the Pentagon" when it "began a 330-degree turn. At the end of turn, it was descending through 2,200 feet".
Next we need to calculate the maximum radius (the most conservative case) of the arc that would allow the aircraft to transition from its downward path to level flight (while clearing obstacles in its path), and strike the Pentagon at the point described in official reports.
We chose instead to use the radius calculated by Pilots for 9/11 Truth.
Pilots for 9/11 Truth base their calculation on the Flight Data Recorder (FDR) data obtained pursuant to a Freedom of Information Act request filed with the National Transportation Safety Board, and carefully constructed topography of the area below the flight path.
Leaving aside the discrepancies between the official account of Flight 77, and the Flight Data Recorder (which NTSB refuses to answer), Pilots for 9/11 Truth calculated a radius equal to about 579 feet.
From this they calculated the force on the Boeing 757 at 34 Gs, i.e. 34 times the force due to gravity.
There has been some criticism of the calculations performed by Pilots for 9/11 Truth, and they have answered their critics.
With mass, velocity, and radius equal to 255,000 lbs, 530 mph, and 579 feet respectively, the preceding formula yields force equal to 8,276,850 lbs, i.e. the Boeing 757 would act as if it had increased its weight by 8,276,850 lbs, or more than 32 times its normal weight.
With a virtual weight of about 8.5 million pounds, Flight 77 could not have levelled off before striking the Pentagon. It would have crashed before it reached the Pentagon.
This single fact is sufficient to refute the official account of "Flight 77."
Neither Hani Hanjour -- the alleged pilot trainee "noted for incompetence", nor the Boeing 757, would have been in any condition to fly with "the top of the fuselage of the aircraft no more than 20 ft above the ground" (Pentagon Building Performance Report, p14).
Pilots for 9/11 Truth did another calculation by lowering the height of "Flight 77" below that shown by the FDR. They lowered it to to the top of the Virginia Department of Transportation communications antenna that sits below the alleged flight path.
With this very conservative case, they calculated the force on the Boeing 757 at 11.2 Gs. "11.2 Gs was never recorded in the FDR. 11.2 Gs would rip the aircraft apart" they state.
If you disagree, figure out the mass, velocity, and radius, and plug them into the formula to calculate the force. If you have a better formula, use it. Could a Boeing 757 survive the calculated force?
What hard evidence has the government released to support its position? If you have that evidence, we'd like to see it.
Scientific, and other evidence, reinforce the conclusion: Flight 77 did not strike the Pentagon.

These are talking points concerning this PNAC plan which George W. Bush has apparently adopted as a blueprint for his administration’s foreign policy. An original copy of this PNAC document can be obtained from: www.newamericancentury.org It consists of 90 pages. What does this (PNAC) document reveal about the following topics and ideas?
1. Weapons of Mass Destruction. As for Iraq’s alleged "weapons of mass destruction", these were dismissed, in so many words, as a convenient excuse, which it is. "While the unresolved conflict with Iraq provides the immediate justification," it says, "the need for a substantial American force presence in the Gulf transcends the issue of the regime of Saddam Hussein." How has this grand strategy been implemented? A series of articles in the Washington Post, co-authored by Bob Woodward of Watergate fame and based on long interviews with senior members of the Bush administration, reveals how September 11 was manipulated.
2. Terrorism. One should note that on September 12, 2001, without any evidence of who the hijackers were, Donald Rumsfeld demanded that the United States attack Iraq. According to Woodward, Rumsfeld told a cabinet meeting that Iraq should be "a principal target of the first round in the war against terrorism". Iraq was temporarily spared only because Colin Powell, the secretary of state, persuaded Bush that "public opinion has to be prepared before a move against Iraq is possible". Afghanistan was chosen as the softer option. If Jonathan Steele’s estimate in the Guardian is correct, some 20,000 people in Afghanistan paid the price of this debate with their lives.
3. Saddam Hassein. One of the PNAC group documents clearly shows that Bush and his most senior cabinet members had already planned an attack on Iraq before he took power in January 2001. In their plan entitled "Rebuilding American’s Defenses: Strategies, Forces and Resources for a New Century," reveals that the current members of Bush’s cabinet had already planned, before the 2000 presidential election, to take military control of the Gulf region whether Saddam Hussein is in power or not. "Even should Saddam pass from the scene," the plan says U.S. military bases in Saudi Arabia and Kuwait will remain, despite domestic opposition in the Gulf states to the permanent stationing of U.S. troops. Iran, it says, "may well prove as large a threat to U.S. interests as Iraq has." The 90-page PNAC document from September 2000 says: "The United States has for decades sought to play a more permanent role in Gulf regional security. While the unresolved conflict with Iraq provides the immediate justification, the need for a substantial American force presence in the Gulf transcends the issue of the regime of Saddam Hussein. The plan calls for Permanent Military Bases in Iraq to dominate the Middle East including neighboring Iran.
4. Global Dominance - a major aspect of Bush’s foreign policy has been spelled out in the PNAC blueprint? How does this document view our efforts for global dominance?
a) United States must seize the opportunity for global domination as a result of the world giving us this unique opportunity with the fall of the Soviet Union empire. We are now the sole world superpower. We need to seize this opportunity for the well- being of future generations.
b) Containment and deterrence course of action would not allow for the expansion of American power. In other words, a peaceful settlement is not in our best interest in Iraq. We must conquer Iraq (in the spirit of the Romans). There is no exit strategy for Iraq because the President has none! The Bush Administration plan to keep permanent military bases in Iraq from which to control the whole Middle East including a possible invasion of Iran and maybe Saudi Arabia in the future. Remember Iran was identified by George W. Bush as one of the three members of the "Axis of Evil". As we speak, Iran is being identified in the news as a nation developing nuclear weapons. If the Bush administration has their way we will soon be attacking Iran!
c) United States must conquer and occupy land areas even though we may be viewed as "American Internationalist". This may involve ignoring international opinion if that suits our U.S. interests. UN approval is helpful and desirable but becomes irrelevant if decisions of certain UN resolutions goes against our country’s wishes.
d) Must maintain military presence all over the world. Permanent U.S. military and economic domination of every region on the globe, unfettered by international treaty or concern. No ABM treaty, no Koyoto treaty, etc. to control our foreign policy. Pre-emptied attacks against perceived enemies may be needed. "The best defense is a good offense."
e) In due time the United States will emerge as a full-fledged global empire. That appears to be the plan!
5. Members of the present Bush Administration had important roles in the formulation of the PNAC document. The following individuals were a part of a group of conservative interventionists who have been outraged by the thought that the United States might be forfeiting its chance for global domination.(or empire as others outside their ranks say).
- Paul Wolfowitz is now Deputy Defense Secretary.
- John Bolton is Undersecretary of State.
- Stephen Cambone is head of the Pentagon’s Office of Program, Analysis and Evaluation.
- Eliot Cohen is a member of the Defense Policy Board, which advises Rumsfeld.
- Devon Cross is a member of the Defense Policy Board, which advises Rumsfeld.
- I. Lewis Libby is Chief of Staff to Vice President Dick Cheney.
- Dov Zakheim is Comptroller for the Defense Department.
- Other founders of PNAC include Vice-President Dick Cheney , Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld, William J. Bennett (Reagan’s former Education
Secretary), and Zalmay Khalilzad (Bush’s Ambassador to Afghanistan).
6. Worldwide "Pax Americana". The U.S. needs to project sufficient power worldwide to enforce Pax Americana. The strategic "transformation" of the U.S. military into an imperialistic force of global domination would require a hugh increase in defense spending to "a minimum need to raise defense spending from 3 percent of Gross Domestic Product (GDP) to 3.8 percent with the addition of $15 to 20$ billion annually. It should be noted that George W. Bush had requested $379 billion in his most recent budget proposal which is exactly the 3.8 percent called for in the PNAC plan.
7. A "New Pearl Harbor". PNAC says that what was needed for America to dominate much of humanity and the world’s resources, it said, was "some catastrophic and catalyzing event - like a new Pearl Harbor". The attacks of September 11, 2001 provided the "new Pearl Harbor", described as "the opportunity of ages". The extremists who have since exploited September 11 come from the era of Ronald Reagan, when far-right groups and "think-tanks" were established to avenge the American "defeat" in Vietnam. In the 1990s, there was an added agenda: to justify the denial of a "peace dividend" following the cold war. The Project for the New American Century was formed, along with the American Enterprise Institute, the Hudson Institute and others that have since merge the ambitions of the Reagan administration with those of the current Bush regime. Time and again, September 11 is described as an "opportunity". It provided the necessary catalyst to put the global war plan into effect. Congress quickly allocated $40 billion to fund the "war on terrorism" shortly after September 11. In the last April’s New Yorker, the investigative reporter Nicholas Lemann wrote that Bush’s most senior adviser, Condoleezze Rice, told him she had called together senior members of the National Security County and asked them "to think about ‘how do you capitalize on these opportunities, which she compared with those of "1945 to 1947"; the start of the cold war. Since September 11, America has established bases at the gateways to all the major sources of fossil fuels, especially central Asia. The Unocal oil company is to build a pipeline across Afghanistan. Bush as scrapped the Kyoto Protocol on greenhouse gas emissions, the war crimes provisions of the International Criminal Court and the anti-ballistic missile treaty. He has said he will use nuclear weapons against non-nuclear states "if necessary". Under cover of propaganda about Iraq’s alleged weapons of mass destruction, the Bush regime is developing new weapons of mass destruction that undermine international treaties on biological and chemical warfare.
8. Envisions a stark expansion of our global military presence. Will require bases and stations within and beyond Western Europe and northeast Asia - as well as temporary access arrangements for the long-distance deployment of U.S. troops.
9. "At no time in history has the international security order been as conducive to American interests and ideals", the report said. "This challenge of this coming century is to preserve and enhance this ‘American peace’ "
10. This 2000 report reads like a "blueprint" for the current Bush defense policy. Most of what PNAC advocates, the Bush Administration has tried to accomplish. For example, the PNAC report urged the following:
- the repudiation of the anti-ballistic missile (ABM) treaty.
- commitment to a global missile defense (GMD) system.
The Bush Administration has followed this course on both counts.
11. PNAC advocated the "transformation" of the U.S. military to meet its expanded obligations, including the cancellation of such outmoded defense programs as the Crusader artillery system. That’s exactly the message being preached by Donald Rumsfeld and others.
12. PNAC urges the development of small nuclear warheads "required in targeting the very deep, underground hardened bunkers that are being built by many of our potential adversaries. This year the GOP-led U.S. House gave the Pentagon the green light to develop such a weapon, called the Robust Nuclear Earth Penetrator, while the Senate has so far balked at the decision. PNAC states that the United States should develop "bunker-buster" nuclear weapons and make "star wars" a national priority. This is now happening. The PNAC report said that, in the event of Bush taking power, Iraq should be a target. Guess what? Iraq is now our target!
13. Constabulary Duties: PNAC clearly identifies Iran, Iraq and North Korea as primary short-term targets, well before President Bush tagged them as the "Axis of Evil". In this report, the writers criticize the fact that in war planning against North Korea and Iraq, "past Pentagon war games have give little or no consideration to the force requirements necessary not only to defeat an attack but to remove these regimes from power." To preserve the Pax Americana, the report says U.S. forces will be required to perform "constabulary duties" - The United States acting as policeman of the world -- and says that such actions "demand American political leadership rather than that of the United Nations."
14. PNAC report advocates a much larger military presence spread over more of the globe, in addition to the roughly 130 nations in which U.S. troops are already deployed. More specifically, they argue that we need permanent military bases in the Middle East, in Southeast Europe, in Latin America and in Southeast Asia, where no such bases now exist. This explains why the Bush administration rushed to install U.S. troops in Georgia and the Philippines, as well as our eagerness to send military advisers to assist in the civil war in Colombia.
15. PNAC acknowledges its debt to an earlier document, drafted in 1992 by the Defense Department under the direction of Dick Cheney and Paul Wolfowitz who were the Secretary of Defense and Defense Undersecretary for Policy, respectively. PNAC was founded in the spring of 1997 by the well-known Zionist neo-conservatives Robert Kagan and William Kristol, writer for the Weekly Standard. The PNAC is part of the New Citizenship Project, whose chairman is also William Kristol, and is described as "a non-profit, educational organization whose goal is to promote American global leadership. Dick Cheney, Donald Rumsfeld, Jeb Bush, and Paul Wolfowitz signed a Statement of Principles of the PNAC on June 3, 1997, along with many of the other current members of Bush’s "war cabinet." Paul Wolfowitz was one of the directors of PNAC until he joined the Bush Administration in 2001.
16) A "core mission" for the transformed U.S. military is to "fight and decisively win multiple, simultaneous major theater wars," according to the PNAC.
17. Implications of a Pax Americana are immense.
What will be it’s effect on our Allies?
a) Once we assert the unilateral right to act as the world’s policeman, our allies will quickly recede into the background. We will be forces to spend American wealth and American blood protecting the peace while other nations redirect their wealth to such things as health care for the citizenry. Donald Kagan, co-chairman of the 2000 New Century project, acknowledges that likelihood. He says, "If our allies want a free ride, and they probably will, we can’t stop that," he says. But he also argues that the United States, given it unique position, has no choice but to act anyway.
b) Candidate George W. Bush certainly did not campaign on such a change. It is not something that he or others have dared to discuss honestly with the American people. To the contrary, in his foreign policy debate with Al Gore, Bush pointedly advocated a more humble foreign policy, a position calculated to appeal to voters leery of military intervention.
c) For the same reason, Kagan and others shy away from terms such as empire, understanding its connotations. But they also argue that it would be naive and dangerous to reject the role that history has thrust upon us. Kagan, for example, willingly embraces the idea that the United States would establish permanent military bases in a post-war Iraq. "I think that’s highly possible, " he says. "We will probably need a major concentration of forces in the Middle East over a long period of time. That will come at a price, but think of the price of not having it. When we have economic problems, it’s been caused by disruptions in our oil supply. If we have a force in Iraq, there will be no disruption in oil supplies."
18. War with Iraq as an object lesson for other nations. Rumsfeld and Kagan believe that a successful war against Iraq will produce other benefits, such as serving an object lesson for nations such as Iran and Syria. Rumsfeld, as befits his sensitive position, puts it rather gently. If a regime change were to take place in Iraq, other nations pursuing weapons of mass destruction "would get the message that having them...is attracting attention that is not favorable and is not helpful, " he says. Co-chairman Kagan says that "People worry a lot about how the Arab street is going to react, " he notes. "Well, I see that the Arab street has gotten very, very quit since we started blowing things up."
19. Cost of such a global commitment would be enormous. In 2000, we spent $281 billion on our military, which was more than the next 11 nations combined. By 2003, our expenditures will have risen to $378 billion. In other words, the increase in our defense budget from 1999-2003 will be more than the total amount spent annually by China, our next largest competitor. This budget would allow the U.S. to fight and win multiple, simultaneous major theater wars". This has happened. Billions of dollars in additional defense spending are but the first step in the group’s long-term plan to transform the U.S. military into a global army enforcing a terroristic and bloody Pax Americana around the world.
20. The lure of empire is ancient and powerful, and over the millennia it has driven men to commit terrible crimes on its behalf. But with the end of the Cold War and the disappearance of the Soviet Union, a global empire was essentially laid at the feet of the United States. To the chagrin of some, we did not seize it at the time, in large part because the American people have never been comfortable with themselves as a "New Rome".
21. In the debate whether to invade Iraq, we are really debating the role that the United States will play in the years and decades to come. In August of 2002, Defense Policy Board chairman and PNAC member Richard Perle heard a policy briefing from a think tank associated with the Rand Corporation. According to the Washington Post and The Nation, the final slide of this presentation described "Iraq as the tactical pivot, Saudi Arabia as the strategic pivot, and Egypt as the prize" in a war that would purportedly be about ridding the world of Saddam Hussein’s weapons. Bush has deployed massive forces into the Mideast region, while simultaneously engaging American forces in the Philippines and playing nuclear chicken with North Korea. Somewhere in all this lurks at least one of the "major theater wars" desired by the September 2000 PNAC report.
22. Are peace and security best achieved by seeking strong alliances and international consensus, led by the United States, or is it necessary to take a more unilateral approach, accepting and enhancing the global dominance that, according to some, history has thrust upon us? If we do decide to seize empire, we should make that decision knowingly, as a democracy. The price of maintaining an empire is always high.
23) Richard Perle. He is one of George W. Bush’s "thinkers". He was interviewed by John Pilger when he was advising Reagan and when he spoke about "total war", he sounded like a madman. Perle recently used these terms again in describing America’s "war on terror". "No stages.", he said. "This is total war. We are fighting a variety of enemies. There are lots of them out there. All this talk about first we are going to do Afghanistan, then we will embrace it entirely and we don’t try to piece together clever diplomacy, but just wage a total war... our children will sing great songs about us years from now." This Perle is one of the founders of the "Project for the New American Century."
24) PNAC funding sources for this "neo-con" Washington-based "think-tank" organization. It is funded by three foundations closely tied to Persian Gulf oil and weapons and defense industries, drafted the war plan for U.S. global domination through military power.
25) Three Principles of PNAC.
1) The group’s essential demand was for hefty increases in defense spending. "We need to increase defense spending significantly if we are to carry out our global responsibilities today and modernize our armed forces for the future, ".
This increase in defense spending is to bring about two of the other principles:
2) "to challenge regimes hostile to our interests and values."
3) "to accept responsibility for America’s unique role in preserving and extending an international order friendly to our security, our prosperity, and our principles."
26) "This is a blueprint for United States world domination - a new world order of their making, "Tam Dalyell, British parliamentarian and critic of the war policy from the Labor Party said. "These are the thought processes of fantasist Americans who want to control the world. This is garbage from think-tanks stuffed with chicken-hawks," Dalyell said, "men who have never seen the horror of war but are in love with the idea of war. William Rivers Pitt wrote on February 25, 2003, "Above all else, PNAC desires and demands one thing: The establishment of a global American empire to bend the will of all nations. They chafe at the idea that the United States, the last remaining superpower, does not do more by way of economic and military force to bring the rest of the world under the umbrella of a new socio-economic Pax Americana."
27) Joy-Ann Lomena-Reid in a March 12, 2003 article for Common Dreams states, "The Bush administration has so damaged its own argument and credibility with the rest of the world regarding its motives for war (the Project for the New American Century may not get ink on American TV but it’s big news overseas), that we need a proxy force to be the one taking Kirkuk. If our soldiers are seen putting out the fires set by Hussein to deny us what he and much of the world sees as our prime objective -- control of Iraq’s vast oil wealth -- then we win the war and lose the aftermath. Saddam Hussein has all but laid it out for the world -- America is attacking Iraq to steal her oil, and Iraq would rather but it themselves then give it to Bush and his cabal. Better, then to let the British steal it for us."
